Wild-growing across an estimated 7,000 hectares of the Karakoram and Himalaya-Hindu Kush mountain ranges — in the valleys of Hunza, Skardu, Gilgit, Astore, Chitral, and upper Swat at altitudes ranging from 1,200m to over 4,200m — Pakistan’s Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. turkestanica is a distinct, largely undomesticated subspecies whose seeds develop under conditions of extreme altitude, mineral-rich glacial soils, and intense UV exposure that commercially cultivated alternatives simply cannot reproduce. Quality Standards & Specifications

Every lot is wild-harvested from verified Gilgit-Baltistan populations, sun-dried under controlled conditions, and mechanically cleaned to remove berry pulp residue, inert matter, and off-type material before packing. Moisture content is maintained at or below 8% to preserve seed viability and oil-bearing integrity during transit and storage. Each batch is third-party tested for moisture, purity, microbial safety, heavy metals, and pesticide residues — with a full Certificate of Analysis issued with every shipment.
