Psyllium seeds (Plantago ovata, commercially known as Isabgol) are the whole, mature seeds from which psyllium husk is derived — and they serve a distinct, growing market of their own. Used directly in pharmaceutical seed preparations, Ayurvedic and Unani medicine formulations, animal nutrition applications, and as raw material for husk milling operations, psyllium seeds carry approximately 47% soluble fibre by weight and are traded globally as a functional health ingredient in their own right. Pakistan is one of the few countries outside India where Plantago ovata is natively cultivated, with growing conditions in Punjab and Sindh that naturally favour seed density and mucilage quality. Our psyllium seeds are supplied at 99%+ purity, cleaned and Sortex graded, non-GMO and Halal certified.

Quality Standards & Specifications

Every lot is mechanically cleaned through gravity separators and optical Sortex graders, removing weed seed, inert matter, and off-type material to achieve purity consistently above 99%. Moisture content is maintained at or below 10% to preserve seed viability and mucilage integrity during transit. Each batch is independently tested for moisture, purity, microbial safety, heavy metals, and pesticide residues — with a full Certificate of Analysis issued with every shipment.

Packing & Export Options

Supplied in 25 kg and 50 kg food-grade kraft paper bags with moisture-barrier inner liners. Custom packaging available for seed processing and pharmaceutical intake requirements. Shipments dispatched FOB Karachi and FOB Port Qasim — CIF and CNF on request.
